How's it Growin'? Adventures of a Backyard Gardener, Episode 2

Video taken on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2009. We visit the garden again, not much growing yet, but lots of starts are getting ready to have a new home. The boxes are almost all done and ready for the “Mel’s Mix” to go in. We received 2 cubic yards of compost mix and are ready to fill the boxes. My husband still has to make 5 more boxes and we will be getting a large load of cypress mulch for ground cover. This will kill the existing grass, inhibit insects and provide a pleasant look for the garden. Our hanging tomatoes are looking good and starting to set fruit and lots and lots of blooms.
