Oh No! I'm out of eggs!

Having a good store of survival goods means you don’t have to make special trips to the store. If you’ve planned your food storage correctly you’ll be able to pull out items that will make a good meal. It’s also a good idea to practice with your survival equipment once in a while, just to make sure it works. I plan to have a power failure day one of these weekends where I shutoff everything in the breaker box except for the refrigerator. That will help me determine what I’ll need when a real power failure shows up. It won’t be a perfect simulation of course because I’ll be able to go to the store without fighting crowds of panic stricken people who are frantically grabbing up all the water and candles. The roads will also be clear and the traffic signals will be working. Not a perfect simulation but it’s still worth doing.
