Start a Farm With Government Grant Money

Would a government grant help you make the leap to buying a farm?  You’re in luck! The USDA has announced it is giving out over $19 MILLION in grants to young farmers across the country! The National Institute of Food and Agriculture is managing is amazing grant program. This program was put into place to help the younger generation break into the farming industry. Its for people with 10 years or less experience in the farming industry.

The grants were put into place to help train producers the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program or BFRDP for short.

Although the grants are closed for 2020, $17.5 million has been approved for 2021, $20 million for 2022, and $25 million for 2023.

Although getting a grant isn’t easy, it sure beats getting a loan and having to repay it!
